Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We were thankful that the sun came out and we were able to get a full day’s work in! We went into town for dinner at a pasta place. We ate there last month and I was looking forward to something different for dinner. Jake got a 3 pepper steak and roasted potatoes; I took his word for it that the steak was awesome. I got a ravioli dish that was filled with puree pumpkin, cream cheese, and almonds. The ravioli was covered in a cream, butter, pepper, and nutmeg sauce and it was outstanding!




Even though it wasn’t turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, lots of bread, and pumpkin pie, we enjoyed our dinner and talked about all the things we are thankful for. The list went something like this…….

After dinner we used Skype to make some phone calls and chat with our family members in their various places. Even though the conversations were short it was nice to be able to talk with all of you. On Sunday the District President spoke and said that the rain is supposed to continue until January  Let’s hope he is wrong. It is raining today but it is supposed to be clear the rest of this week and continue into next. We will be finishing up with the first trench this week, if the rain really does in fact stop this week. We haven’t found much in this one, but we are hopeful we will find more in the next trench! Hope all is well at home!
